To quickly fix the alignment of your teeth, reduce gaps, and improve rotated teeth, consider the Bioliner Plus system of clear aligners from Robert L. Porter Dentistry. Similar to other clear aligner systems like Invisalign or ClearCorrect, Bioliner Plus uses a series of custom dental trays to gently adjust the position of your teeth. The Bioliner uses a soft insert made with thermal silicone that moves your teeth faster than similar treatments. The unique Bioliner material also makes the trays more flexible so they are easy to put in and take out. Board-certified dentist Dr. Robert Porter offers custom Bioliner treatment plans to his patients at his office in Richardson, TX. If you want straighter, healthier teeth, schedule a consultation at Robert L. Porter Dentistry.

The Bioliner Plus system works to improve mild to moderate alignment issues in your teeth. It can close small spaces or gaps between your teeth, move your teeth either forward or backward, and correct teeth that have rotated. If you want to optimize your dental alignment and bite, schedule a consultation with Dr. Porter so he can help you decide if Bioliner is right for your needs and goals.
What to Expect
During your consultation, Dr. Porter will fabricate models of your teeth and go over your treatment plan. The lab order will be sent to Five Star Orthodontic Lab and Supply so your custom Bioliner trays can be made. When your first set of trays is ready, you will have an appointment with Dr. Porter to fit your aligners and go over your instructions. Ideally, you should wear your aligners for 20 – 22 hours a day, taking them out only to eat and clean your teeth. You will typically wear a set of trays for two weeks before moving on to the next set. The total length of your treatment will depend on the starting alignment of your teeth and your goals.
You should schedule regular appointments with Dr. Porter so he can check the progress of your teeth movement. Once your teeth are in their final position, you will be able to stop using your active Bioliner trays. Dr. Porter will usually recommend a retainer that helps maintain the alignment of your teeth while your gums and jaw adapt. Dr. Porter will help you decide on the type of retainer that is best for your needs before taking impressions. Once your retainer is made, he will talk to you about how often to wear it and how to take care of it so it lasts for many years.
The Bioliner system may be considered a cosmetic treatment by dental insurance, so our office will contact your provider to determine your benefits. After this, your personal cost can be estimated. Whether you are using dental insurance or paying out-of-pocket, a member of Dr. Porter's team will discuss your payment options, including low-interest dental financing.
